Elmwood Raider Offseason Weekly Update

Hello, this is Coach Hattier, and I just wanted to update everyone on our Offseason. We are having a great time improving our conditioning, speed, quickness, and agility. Last week we kicked off our ELMWOOD Football League (EFL). This is a fun time of two hand touch / non contact 7 on 7 football. We are incorporating our plays into the EFL so that they are able to learn our plays for next season and have a good time competing in the process. I have listed our current EFL standings below. Next week we will only meet on Wednesday and Thursday due to mandatory after school meetings that I have to attend. We will resume our regular schedule the very next week.

***We are working hard improving our running form, football skills, and focusing on our core lifts in the weight room. Our athletes a getting stronger, and faster.

***We have had a lot of fun competing during our Football Friday 7 on 7 games. This is called Elmwood Football League (EFL). Even better than the NFL!

***Our next Testing Day will be on Friday, February 3rd, as we test our abilities in the bench press, squat, hang clean, and the 5-10-5.

***As always we encourage our athletes to attend Football Offseason each and every time that we meet for offseason. We have our offseason every Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 - 4:15. 

***As the weather gets colder I just wanted to remind everyone to dress out in warm clothing. Next week is looking to be nice, but it is always a good idea to have a pair of sweat pants and a jacket stored away in the locker just in case it is needed.

RAVENS - 2 - 0 -1
GIANTS / 49'ers / BRONCOS - all tied - 2 - 1
PACKERS - 0-2-1
SAINTS - 0-3

No worries there is plenty more football to play and standings can change quickly.
In the end we are all, RAIDERS, SO,LET'S HAVE A GREAT TIME COMPETING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
