Elmwood Raider Football - Weekly Update

time!! For our 7 on 7 games - we will play 2 tournaments at Springdale Southwest Junior High School on (July 9th, and July 23rd), and 1 tournament at Springdale Har-Ber High School on (July 16th). The details are in the 7 on 7 attachment. Games will start at 8:00 am and end at 11:30. It is going to be a great time for our kids! We will try to beat the heat by having it early in the morning. On the mornings of our 7 on 7 tournaments we will meet at the front parking lot of Elmwood and travel to Springdale by school bus. We will meet at 7:00 am in order to be on time for our first game at 8:00. Previously I thought that we may have to car pool, but I was able to secure a bus for each of those dates. We might grab some lunch at Mad pizza on the way back so we will arrive back at Elmwood at around 12:30. We will be attending the tournament with Kirksey, and they will be taking the bus with us. It should be a lot of fun to meet up with the Kirksey players. For the first tournament we might need just a couple of parent volunteers to stay back with us just in case we are too crowded on the bus and we need to car pool a couple of players. I don’t think that this will be the case because I am going to try to secure a larger bus, but maybe for the first tournament we will plan on doing so. Once again, we encourage all of our Linemen to attend our 7 on 7 tournaments with us, and to be a part of these fun events. They play such an important role in what we do as a team, and we sure do apprectaite them! The 7 on 7 format does not lend itself to a lot of linemen playing, but we are looking at having some events for our much appreciated linemen!! We could possibly have some linemen challenge events where we compete with the Kirksey linemen in a variety of fun challenges. Please stay posted on more information on the linemen challenge. For any parents who would like to volunteer for the car pooling assistance for our first tournament just let me know. We only need a couple of volunteers. Thank you for your time! Have a good week!!!
