Elmwood Raider Football - Weekly Update

________________________________________      Hello, this is Coach Hattier, and I just wanted to update everyone on our Football Offseason. I have included our list of events that are in the near future, and our football game schedule for next season. I also attached our shoe ordering form.      Also, I want to clarify which cleats we are choosing from. When you log on to the site there are three cleats to choose from. There are 2 pairs of solid black cleats (Alpha Speed TD for 71.00, Alpha Speed D for $74), and the more economical, but a very good cleat as well,- the white and black land shark for $34.00. Either one of those cleats would be fine.      I do want to highlight events that will be going on in April and in May. As we approach our April 24th Telethon Fundraiser please encourage your student athlete to complete the pledge sheet if possible before April 24th in order for the event to run smoothly. All of the donation money will go back to our kids and greatly benefit our team.    ________________________________________________________ Exciting Events In April- 1. (April 23rd -April 27th from 4pm - 6pm at the RHS Football Practice Facilities) - ***Elmwood Spring Football Practices. - I will be taking our football players to RHS by bus and also bring them back to Elmwood when practice is over. - Each day of Spring Football Practice I will have plenty of good, healthy snacks on our locker room table for the players to eat to nourish themselves before they go to their Spring Football Practice. -This is going to be a fun time for our players as they learn our offensive and defensive system. They will have the opportunity to use some of the best facilities in the state. They will also have the privilege of being coached by our RHS Football Coaches. 2. (April 24th from 7pm - 8 pm at the RHS Field House) - ***Elmwood Raider Football Telethon Fundraiser. ***This is going to be an important event where our players help us to raise money that goes directly back to our kids for summer events and to benefit them by helping to supply various football needs. ***We will provide all of our football players with a free dinner that night. Exciting Events In May- 1. Free Physical – Saturday, May 5th from 8am – 10am at the RHS gymnasium. It very important that all of our athletes attend this important event and get a current physical for 2012. 2. MAD Day Workouts - Wednesday, May 23rd – Friday, May 25th from 8:45am – 10:15 at the RHS Football Field House. 3. Rogers Middle School Football Camp – Thursday, May 30th – Friday May 31st from 10:30 – 12:30 at the RHS Football Fields. _______******Please sign up for these events as soon as possible at ---www.mountiesfootball.com******________________________________________________ Other important Information – 1. Things to remember as we complete our Telethon Pledge Sheets. -Call or contact only people that you know such as relatives and friends of your family. -Make sure to write down the contact and address information of the people who pledge money. -Answer questions about where the money is going by saying that we are using this money to pay for our summer camps. -Answer questions about where to send the money by saying that you will receive an envelope in a couple of weeks in the mail that you will use to mail the money in. -All checks should be made to RHS Football. 2. You may create a variety of different pictures of your athlete by accepting the free Flickr invite and joining our Flickr group. I have already sent out invites to parents.
