Hello, this is Coach Hattier, and I just wanted to update everyone on our Offseason. We had a great week of testing last week. we tested in the 40 yard dash, bench press, and 5-10-5. We have made tremendous gains and we now have 3 categories of achievement that our guys have obtained.
I have listed below those who have made the 100 Club, 120 Club, and our 5 Club. These lists are posted on our Elmwood Raider Football Website at Mountiesfootball.com, and on our Elmwood Raider Football Facebook Page. We have a few of our guys who are competing in the AAO Basketball Tournament, and they are going for their second championship. They will be testing and have the opportunity to be in these Clubs when they return to offseason. I am sure that many of those athletes will also be on these Club lists when they are finished testing. We definitely encourage all who can make it to attend the tournament games and give our guys support! We are very proud of all that they have accomplished!!!!!!!!!!

***Here is the schedule for our Elmwood AAO Basketball Team that will be competing for their 2nd Championship this Saturday.
Game1 - 3:00 - Day Springs Court
Game2 - 4:30 - General Mills Court (if we win game 1)
Game3(Championship) - 6:00 - Sam's Club Court (if we win game 2)
***We have given our silver and black bracelets out to our athletes to acknowledge their dedication and accomplishments throughout our Offseason.
I am very proud of these young men for all that they have accomplished, and I am excited to see what they accomplish in the future.
***We will continue our EFL games this week and we will have our first ever EFL playoff games and then our first ever EFL championship game.
*** Next week we will begin our First ever Elmwood Raider Olympics where we will compete in a variety of sports events such as Football, Basketball, Soccer, and Downhill Ski, in order to go for the gold. Just kidding, everything except downhill ski. it is going to be a blast!!
***As our Off Season progresses we will take more pictures of our workouts and EFL games. We will post these to our Elmwood Football Team Flickr site in order for parents and family to view these pictures and make prints, collages, posters, calendars, etc. I will be emailing parents an invitation to join this site for free. There is no cost to be a member of our Flickr site. This is a great tool for the parents and family to use.
***We have 3 new videos posted on our Elmwood Middle School Football Facebook Page, as well as our website page at Mountiesfootball.com. These include 2 versions of our 2011 Football Season Highlights, as well as a highlight slide show for our Off Season workouts.
***We have our Elmwood Raider Off Season T Shirts and Shirts available and ready to pass out. The cost is a low $20. These are high quality and should last throughout the rest of the school year.
***I know that it is a long time until summer arrives, but we will have some great activities going on throughout the summer in order to help us to reach our full potential in preparation for next season. These include our MAD Days Summer workouts, and various camps that will be offered through RHS.
