EMS Football Weekly Update

Hello to all, I hope that you have enjoyed your break. Here are a couple of announcements as we enter next week. We will be on our normal schedule for 7^th and 8^th grade football offseason. We will also have our specialty training for our QB’s / Fullbacks, and Slots on Monday morning from 7:10-7:40 am at the RHS Football Facility. This is an important time as we cover some very important points regarding the fundamentals of our offense. We will have a great time next week as we continue to improve on our strength, quickness, agility, and our knowledge base for our defensive and offensive system.

Next week I will be sending out a calendar for our schedule of events for April – June. I will also have a separate calendar that I will send out later that details all of the exciting events that we have going on this summer. It is going to be a great time!!

I am excited as we enter the last part of our school year, and as we improve with every workout.

Hello, here is our update for this upcoming week. We will be on our normal schedule for offseason. For our 7th graders our deadline for turning in order forms and money for offseason apparel is Friday, March 7th. I will submit the orders the following Monday. Our offseason is going really well as we have had consistent participation and our players have maintained their commitment to becoming their very best! We have exciting things on the horizon for our Elmwood Raiders and Future Mounties!!!!

EMS Football - Weekly Update

Hello to all, this is just a quick announcement for our 7th and 8th grade Football Players. We will be on our normal schedule next week for both grade levels. For our 7th grade football players we have passed out our offseason apparel form and we have a couple of weeks left before I submit the orders. So if you would like to get your order forms in please do so at your earliest convenience. They are a high quality material and will last through offseason and the summer. You can order as many pairs as you would like. They are just $20 total for both the shirt and a pair of shorts. If paying by check please make payable to Elmwood Middle School Football. Our players are continuing to work very hard and they are improving with each work out!!

EMS Football Weekly Update

Another great week of offseason has passed and so has some bad weather. We are looking forward to some better weather next week. Most all of our athletes have turned in their physicals and that is great news. If your child has yet to do so please have him turn it in to me in classroom 216 or the football locker room.  Last week we continued to develop our football skills, as well as our strength, flexibility, and conditioning. Our players are working hard and improving! Next week we will follow our normal schedule for 7th grade and 8th grade offseason. We will workout Tue. – Thur. from 3:00 – 4:30 for our 7th graders, and our 8th graders will be taken to RHS for their workouts on Tue. – Thur.
For our 7th graders I have passed out our offseason apparel order form. We just ask that it be turned in within the next couple of weeks. If paying by check please make payable to Elmwood Middle School Football. For a pair of black EMS shorts and a green EMS work out shirt the total price is $20. You can order 1 set or as many as you would like. These are a dry fit material similar to Under Armour and a very high quality. These items will last a long time, and we will also use them for our MAD Day summer workouts at RHS. In the meantime we simply ask that our 7th graders have a pair of black shorts and a green shirt for our offseason workouts so that we all look the same during our workouts and promote team unity. Academy Sporting Goods or Best Sports in Rogers is a great resource for this. They have some really good deals on athletic apparel.

EMS Football Weekly Uodate

Hello to all, I just wanted to provide an update for 7th and 8th Grade Football Offseason for the upcoming week. I know that the weather has made it difficult for us to have our work outs, but we hope to get back on track as soon as the weather eases up. Next week for our 7th Grade football players our offseason schedule will be a little different due parent teacher conferences at EMS on Monday and Tuesday from 3:15 – 6:15. We will have our offseason workouts next week on Wednesday and Thursday. For our 7th graders -  we will be ordering our official offseason workout apparel in the next couple of weeks. I will be passing out and emailing order forms next week. For a pair of black EMS shorts and a green EMS work out shirt the total price is $20. You can order 1 set or as many as you would like. These are high quality items and will last a very long time.  In the meantime we simply ask that our 7th graders have a pair of black shorts and a green shirt for our offseason workouts so that we all look the same during our workouts and promote team unity. I also want to remind our 7th graders who have not turned in a copy of their physical to do so asap, as it is required to participate in offseason. EMS Football Wekly Update

This announcement is for our 8th Grade Football Players. - Our 8th grade football players are well on their way into football offseason. We definitely encourage all of our 8th grade football players to attend each day as this is a very important time as we prepare for success in the upcoming season. They will meet Coach Hattier in the 8th grade hallway directly after school and they will be taken to RHS by bus. 8th grade football players will leave with by bus by 3:10. 8th grade football offseason will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. 8th graders will be done by 5:30, and they will need to be picked up by their parents at the RHS Football facility when it is finished.
This announcement is for our 7th Grade Football Players. - We had another great week of offseason. We had a lot of fun as we improved with each workout. Our athletes continued to learn proper technique and form for our lifts. We have also been able to introduce the fundamentals of our offensive scheme to our athletes and we will cover more ground as time goes on. We accomplished quite a bit, and I am proud of them for their hard work and attention to detail. Our offseason for next week will be the same schedule of Tue – Thur. 3:00 – 4:30. Our football lockers have been issued so that our athletes are able to store their equipment. Next week we need our athletes to bring warm clothing for when we are able to go outside, as well as cleats and extra shorts and t shirt. Preferably black shorts and a gray shirt if they have those. We will be ordering our official workout gear in a few weeks. The shirt and short set will be a total of $20.
Just a reminder that each athlete needs to bring a copy of their physical to Coach Hattier in room 216 if they have not already done so.

This announcement is for our 8th Grade Football Players. - Our 8th grade football players will begin their offseason on Tuesday, January 21st. They will  meet Coach Hattier in the 8th grade hallway directly after school and they will be taken to RHS by bus. 8th grade football players will leave with by bus by 3:10. 8th grade football offseason will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. 8th graders will be done by 4:45 - 5:00, and they will need to be picked up by their parents at the RHS Football facility when it is finished.

This announcement is for our 7th Grade Football Players. - We had a great first week of offseason. We had a lot of fun as we improved with each workout. Our athletes learned proper technique and form for our lifts, various core exercises, and an effective stretching routine that improves their overall flexibility and form. We accomplished quite a bit, and I am proud of them for their hard work and attention to detail. Our offseason for next week will be the same schedule of Tue – Thur. 3:00 – 4:30. We will issue football lockers next week so that our athletes will be able to store their equipment. Next week we need our athletes to bring warm clothing for when we go outside, as well as cleats and extra shorts and t shirt. Preferably black shorts and a gray shirt if they have those.
