Hello to all, we had a great meeting yesterday evening as we discussed our exciting summer events as well as our upcoming football season. I definitely understand if you were unable to make it to the meeting. I have included all of the information that we covered in our weekly email. I have attached those files to our weekly update email. They include (Player / Parent Meeting Notes, MAD Days Sign Up Form, EMS Football Calendar, 2014-2015 RPS Code of Conduct Packet, Physical and Medical History Form, and our 2014 Mercy Sports Flyer for locations to acquire a physical if your child needs one.)
If your child needs a physical packet of all of these forms I have those available as well. They can simply see me throughout the week and I will provide them with it.
Here are a couple of key points.--------------
--We definitely encourage our players to turn in the 2014-2015 RPS Code of Conduct Acknowldgement Form, Medical History form, and MAD Day Form before they leave for summer. These forms are easy to fill out and our players can give them to me in classroom 214 throughout next week.
--Our offseason for this school year is completed, but we will meet on Tuesday from 3 - 4:15 in order to pass out equipment to our players. We will provide them with a helmet, shoulder pads, and a practice jersey. Our players will store this equipment in their football locker so that we will have it available for our summer events. The only thing that we are asking that our players provide before we gather back together on July 7th for our 1st MAD Day Workout is a mouthpiece. They are very cheap, around $1.50-3.00, and you can easily find them at Wal Mart or Academy Sports. If your child has braces there are specialty mouthpieces available at Academy Sports. I usually have enough mouthpieces for all, but this year I am running a bit low on that item.
--As the season approaches and our players feet get bigger game cleats will be a necessity. We are simply asking that their cleats be black. You can find some really good cleats that are very reasonably priced at Academy Sports. You don't need the priciest or most fancy cleats as there are several quality cleats to choose from that will be just fine.
I am very excited about this group of young men, and I am blessed to have the opportunity to coach them!!
I am also excited about the great events that await us during the summer, and our 2014 Football Season!!
It is awesome to be an Elmwood Raider and a Future Mountie!!!!
Have a wonderful summer and we will see your child again on July 7th. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at any time.
Go Raiders!!!!!
