Hello to all, we had a great third week of our MAD Day workouts!!! Each day our players improve as they work hard and remain dedicated to being their best. We are entering our off weeks, and we will resume our usual MAD Days workout routine on July 8th. We will be off until that time. This is a good opportunity for our players to rest and to spend time with their families as they enjoy the summer break. At the same time we would like for our players to keep up with their workouts in order to not lose what they have worked so hard to gain. Here is
our easy to follow at home workout routine that our players should complete 3 times per week every other day. It is simple and requires no additional equipment, just dedication and hard work. --

***Here are a few additional highlights.
1. I want to introduce our new EMS Assistant Coach and Offensive Coordinator, Coach Jared Schoonover. He has a wealth of coaching experience and is an outstanding man of character. He is going to provide our Elmwood Raiders with a high level of quality coaching. We are very excited to have him in the Elmwood Raiders and Rogers Mounties Football Family!!!
2. You can turn in all required Physical Paperwork to Coach Hattier as soon as you complete it. Your current physical is good for one full year, and if that year is about to be up then it is a good time to renew your physical. I have attached all required physical paperwork to this email.
3. I have previously sent out the order form for our EMS Football fan apparel from Team Graphics. We have a great looking design this year with a good variety of clothing options from a t shirt to a long sleeve shirt and a hooded sweat shirt. We also have personalized EMS Football car decals. The deadline for turning in the order forms to Coach Hattier is August 15th. I have attached the order form to this email for you to use at your convenience.
4. In the future I will be sending out invites to join our free Flickr photo website. This is free to join, and it offers a wide variety of options for our parents. There are quite a few options available on Flickr such as making a college to making a personalized calendar. We will upload our team photos to this Flickr site which can be found at www.mountiesfootball.com. Once I send out our invitation to join our Team Flickr page you will simply accept the invitation.
5. We will have a very important pre season parent and players meeting on Wednesday July 31st, from 6:30 - 7:15 pm at EMS. This will be a very important meeting and I encourage all of our parents and players to attend. We will discuss exciting information regarding our upcoming football season!!
6. I have made a slight change to our August practice schedule. Our practice time for the first 2 weeks of football practice beginning on August 5th - August 16th, will be from 6:00 - 8:30 pm. When school begins on August 19th our practice time will change to 3:00 - 5:30.

EMS Football Weekly Update

Hello to all, we had a great second week of our MAD Day workouts!! Our players are working hard, improving, and having fun!! I do want to encourage all of our players to make every MAD Day workout if possible. These are very important and fun! They are designed to help us to be the best team that we can be for the upcoming season, so come on out and join us if you have not done so yet! It is not too late to sign up, and please do not let any financial situation be an issue. If funding is an issue please let us know as we will do all that we can to make it possible for your child to participate in MAD Days.

***Here are just a few highlights for next week.

1. You can turn in all required Physical Paperwork as soon as you complete it to Coach Hattier. Your current physical is good for one full year, and if that year is about to be up then it is probably a good time to renew your physical.

2. Here is our schedule for next week:

Monday - Football Penny Camp at RHS Football Facility from 10:00 - 11:00. We want all of our players to be there. We will focus on installing our Defensive system. This is a very important time for our team to improve and to prepare for the upcoming season! I would suggest getting there at 9:30 so that our players can get ready by putting on their helmets, shoulder pads, and practice jersey. I will have all of the shoulder pads, football helmets, and practice jerseys at the RHS Football facility ready for our players.  The cost is simply one penny. We are going to have a great time as we continue to learn the fundamentals of our football system. All that they need to do is simply meet me at the RHS Football facility and I will give them their equipment before we begin at 10:00. Other than that we will not wear our practice football pants, so our players simply need to have shorts, and also a pair of cleats as we will be on a grass surface.
***This camp is only for our 8th graders to participate in, but we definitely encourage all of our 7th graders and 6th graders to attend in order to watch and learn the fundamentals that we will be working on. This will be a great learning experience as they watch the 8th graders in action.
***On Monday we are not having are usual MAD Day workout from 8:45 – 10:15, on Monday we are simply having our Football Penny Camp.

Tuesday - MAD Days Workouts (8:45 - 10:15)

Wednesday - MAD Days Workouts (8:45 - 10:15)

Thursday - MAD Days Workouts (8:45 - 10:15)

3. I have received our order form for our EMS Football fan apparel from Team Graphics. I will send it out to you via email in the couple of days so that you will have an opportunity to look over what you would like to order. We have a great looking design this year with a good variety of clothing options from a t shirt to a long sleeve shirt and a hooded sweat shirt. We also have personalized EMS Football car decals. The deadline for turning in the order forms to Coach Hattier is August 15th.
